Infant Daycare in Aurora, CO: What Parents Should Look For
How to choose infant care for babies 6 weeks to 12 months, plus the questions to ask on your daycare tour.

Going back to work after a new baby is a big step, and choosing infant daycare is often the hardest part. If you are searching for infant daycare in Aurora, CO, you want more than an open spot. You want a calm room, caring teachers and a place that feels safe the moment you walk in.
At iKid Academy, our infant program welcomes babies from 6 weeks to 12 months. Here is what we think every parent should look for, and how we approach infant care at our school on E Quincy Ave in Aurora.
A calm, nursery-style room
Babies need a space that feels warm and predictable. Our infant room is designed like a nursery, with peaceful sleeping alcoves and big rocking chairs for feeding and soothing. When you tour any infant room, notice the noise level, the lighting and whether babies have a quiet place to rest.
Experienced caregivers who know your baby
The adults in the room matter most. Our infants are cared for by experienced caregivers who get to know each baby’s routine. On a tour, ask how teachers learn your baby’s feeding and nap schedule and how they share updates with you during the day.
Small classes and personal attention
iKid Academy is a family-owned daycare and preschool, and we keep class sizes small so every child gets personal attention. For infants, that means more time for cuddles, play and tummy time, and less time waiting.
Questions to ask on your infant daycare tour
- How do you handle feeding and nap schedules?
- How will I hear about my baby’s day?
- What does a typical day in the infant room look like?
- How do babies move up to the toddler room?
- What are your hours? (Ours are Monday to Friday, 7 am to 6 pm.)
A path that grows with your child
When your baby turns one, they can move into our Toddler program (12–24 months), then on to our Two’s, Three’s and Pre-Kindergarten classes. Staying in one familiar school helps children feel secure as they grow.
See our infant room in person. We require an in-person tour before enrollment, so you can meet our teachers and see the space for yourself. Schedule a tour or call (303) 680-4543. For current rates, visit our Tuition page.
