There are many daycare options in Aurora, and they can start to look the same online. The best way to choose is to visit in person with a clear list of what matters to your family. Here is the checklist we suggest, whether your child is an infant, a toddler or a preschooler.

1. Location and hours that fit your day

A daycare close to home or work makes every drop-off easier. iKid Academy is at 16992 E Quincy Ave in Aurora, near E Quincy Ave and S Buckley Rd and close to Quincy Reservoir. We are open Monday to Friday, 7 am to 6 pm, which works well for families commuting across Aurora and nearby Centennial.

2. Programs for every age

Look for a school that can grow with your child so you do not have to switch every year. Our programs cover Infants (6 weeks–12 months), Toddlers (12–24 months), Two’s, Three’s and Pre-Kindergarten.

3. Class size and attention

Ask how big each class is and how teachers give individual attention. iKid Academy is family-owned and keeps class sizes small, so teachers know every child by name and routine.

4. A good balance of learning and play

Young children learn through play. Look for structured activities, quiet time, music and movement, and time outside every day. Our toddlers, for example, have a consistent structure with interactive and quiet activities, music and movement, and plenty of outdoor climbing, running and jumping.

5. Meals and daily routine

Ask what children eat and when. At iKid Academy, children enjoy home-style meals as part of a predictable daily routine.

6. How the school communicates

You should feel informed and welcome. Ask how teachers share updates and how you can reach the office. Our main school phone is (303) 680-4543.

7. The feel of the classroom

Trust your instincts during the visit. Are children engaged? Do teachers get down to their level? Does the room feel warm and safe? That is why we require an in-person tour before enrollment. We want you to be sure iKid Academy is the right fit.

Quick tour checklist

  • Is the location and schedule realistic for our family?
  • Is there a program for my child’s age now and next year?
  • How large is the class?
  • What does a typical day look like, indoors and outdoors?
  • What meals are served?
  • How will I get updates about my child?
  • How did the classroom feel to me and to my child?

Bring your checklist to iKid Academy. Schedule a tour or call (303) 680-4543. Directions and photos are on our location page.
